Hot Pot

2 lb Stewing lamb
2 lb Potatoes, cubed
4 Onions, sliced
Slat and pepper
Little flour
Water or stock.


Cut meat into pieces convenient for serving. Mix salt, pepper and flour; roll meat in mixture to coat. Put a layer of potatoes in a deep dish, then a layer of meat, next onion; repeat until dish is filled, ending with potatoes. Fill dish with water or stock and bake 3 hours at 350F., adding more water if needed.
